Scope
This policy describes the cookies and other browser storage used by patrimoniefinanza.com. The controller is Dream Generator Limited, Company No. 12077525, 3rd Floor, 207 Regent Street, London W1B 3HH, United Kingdom, contact info@dreamgenerator.co.uk. It is read together with the Privacy Policy.
Cookies, localStorage and sessionStorage
Cookies are small files associated with a domain and sent with requests to that domain. localStorage is browser storage that remains until it is changed or deleted. sessionStorage is storage tied to the browser tab, which is emptied when the tab is closed. The site uses only local technical storage; the cookies described below are set by external providers on their own domains.
Technical storage used by the site
pf-lang, localStorage: stores the language of the interface chosen by the reader. It remains until changed or deleted by the browser.
pf-heritage-lang, sessionStorage: stores the language chosen for the contents of the Heritage Geography section. It is deleted when the tab is closed.
pf-consent-v2, localStorage: stores the choices made in the Cookie e preferenze privacy panel, one for each optional service (YouTube videos, Italpress videos, other external videos, TradingView quotes), with date and time, information notice version and the mode of the choice (accept all, reject the optional ones, close, customise or consent from the individual video). It does not contain identifying data. It remains until changed or deleted by the browser.
These storage items are necessary to provide the functions requested by the reader and do not require consent.
pf-ebook, technical HttpOnly, encrypted, first-party cookie: set only after address verification for an e-book request; it serves exclusively to authorise the download of the five editions from the browser used for verification, without passwords or a personal area. Duration: 24 hours, coinciding with the validity of the link, then it expires automatically. It does not require consent because it is strictly necessary for the requested service.
YouTube videos
YouTube videos are embedded through the youtube-nocookie.com domain and are loaded only after the reader's authorisation and a play click. This mode reduces storage before playback but does not rule out any data processing: after playback Google may set cookies and storage on its own domains according to the purposes and durations described in policies.google.com/technologies/cookies and policies.google.com/privacy.
Italpress videos
Italpress videos are played in the browser player with the original file and contact video.italpress.com only after the reader's authorisation and a click, without preloading. In the checks carried out no Italpress cookies were observed; however, the provider's server receives the connection data necessary for playback. For information on processing, see the italpress.com website. The video covers are served by the magazine.
Videos hosted by the magazine
Some videos are uploaded by the editorial team and served directly by patrimoniefinanza.com. Their playback does not embed third-party players and does not require consent to the Other external videos category: the file is requested from the magazine's server only after the play click, without preloading or automatic playback. What is described in the Privacy Policy regarding site hosting and technical connection data continues to apply.
Other external videos
The Other external videos category of the Cookie e preferenze privacy panel concerns videos embedded from Vimeo or Dailymotion and videos played from addresses on other sites (video files or streaming flows). These contents are loaded only after the reader's authorisation, given in the panel or with the button on the individual video, and a play click, without automatic playback. Until then, the browser shows only the cover served by the magazine and does not contact the provider.
After activation the browser sends requests to the provider's servers or to the site hosting the file, which receive the connection data necessary for playback, such as IP address, browser characteristics and referring page. This sending of requests is separate from any use of cookies: the magazine has not verified which cookies or storage Vimeo, Dailymotion or other sites set, nor their respective durations and purposes, and therefore does not list them in this policy. The providers' notices apply: Vimeo (vimeo.com/privacy and vimeo.com/cookie_policy) and Dailymotion (legal.dailymotion.com/en/privacy-policy and legal.dailymotion.com/en/cookie-policy); for files uploaded from other sites, the notice of the site hosting them.
Videos presented as simple external links are not embedded players or files played by the magazine: when clicked, the visitor leaves the magazine and accesses, in a new tab, the provider's website, where that site's rules and notices apply.
TradingView quotes
On the Markets & Trading and Markets and strategic advice pages, quotes are provided by TradingView and load automatically only if the reader has authorised them in the Cookie e preferenze privacy panel. Without authorisation the browser does not contact TradingView or xstaging.tv and, in place of the ticker, the Manage quote preferences link appears; after authorisation it contacts widgets.tradingview-widget.com, widget-sheriff.tradingview-widget.com and s3-symbol-logo.tradingview.com.
In the check of 13 October 2026, after interacting with the ticker, the widget's official script sent a request to snowplow-collector-sandbox.xstaging.tv, which set the sp cookie on that domain, with a duration of about 12 months and attributes Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=None. TradingView does not publicly document the domain or the purpose of this cookie, which is not presented here as a necessary technical cookie.
The official widget FAQs (tradingview.com/widget-docs/faq/general) state that widgets do not set cookies and that TradingView detects the page address, the widget type, the instrument shown and the IP address, stored for a short time to protect against cyberattacks. These are statements declared by the provider, separate from what was observed. Provider notice: tradingview.com/privacy-policy.
Choices and revocation
On the first visit, when a valid choice is missing, the Cookie e preferenze privacy panel allows the user to accept all optional services, reject them or customise the choices. YouTube videos, Italpress videos, other external videos and TradingView quotes have separate choices, all initially disabled, and consent given for one service does not authorise the others. Closing the panel keeps only the necessary tools active; scrolling the page or continuing to browse does not amount to consent. Rejection is stored using the same criterion as acceptance.
After authorisation, videos still start only with a click and never automatically, while the quote ticker starts when the two pages are opened. Preferences can be changed at any time from the Manage cookies and privacy link in the footer. Revocation stops or removes the content already loaded and prevents new loads, even after reloading the page. Cookies already set on third-party domains cannot be deleted by the magazine and may be removed from the browser settings.
The choice is requested again when the processing changes materially, for example with a new service, a new purpose or a new provider, or when the previous choice is no longer available in the browser. Simple editorial corrections to this policy do not annul objections already expressed.
Revocation of a video category immediately stops the players of that category already open on the page, including Vimeo videos, Dailymotion videos and videos from external addresses, which return to the cover; new loads require new authorisation and a new click. Cookies already set on the providers' domains can be deleted only from the browser settings.
Other services
Fonts are hosted by the magazine and do not require connections to external services. No advertising pixels or analytics tools added by the editorial team are present; the infrastructure's native statistics are described in the Privacy Policy. Social links are simple links and do not load social media content during reading.
